Lucia, you slay me (as always!). Gosh, how I wish I could be there with all of you.  A hefty dose of funny, incredible, delightful, nostalgia, with a pinch of golf thrown in would be my idea of heaven right about now.  Thank goodness my youngest daughter and grandson will be here to keep me entertained so I don’t get depressed that I’m not there with everyone.  Cheers to all.  Can’t wait to see pictures!

Young play Happy Belated Birthday to the Duple and I’m looking for the umbrella I am told I broke a few years ago, I’m sure the Edward Jones Catalog has one, and Happy Anniversary to Gayle ! So special to renew your vows , Happy Birthday early to Kathy G , so enjoyed visiting yesterday, to play among such talent gave me a promise I too could be better on the course (I am amazing at many things but not on the course) and I didn’t even get to see Mike Y play because that team was right behind us, pushing so I got my flight ok out of there. I didn’t get Pre TSA leaving and because it’s such low volume airport at that time I got quite a screening , the upside is I asked if I could just change out of my golf garb while they were at it!  (Even had my hands swabbed for explosives, ) again so good to see you all just too short a visit!!

The day was perfect. Yup! Looking good everyone:)

Thank you to the planning team!

50+6 was great. Committee must be in good standing upstairs. Great weather and lots of laughter. Whatever happened to all those years since our Shrine days.

Janet Flick (Stickel)

I've just posted photos from our 50+6 golf outing and get together this past Saturday.

I couldn't arrange the photos how I wanted, so to see this year's photos skip to pages 2 and 3 starting with photo of "PCC" - Pontiac Country Club.  The photos on page one are from a previous gof outing. (How much have folks aged?)

Each photo is labeled with names and the date. Please notice the BLUE SKIES!!!  First sunny day in several years.

I've included a photo of Larry Dupke's "Rules" so you can see that this outing is just for fun!!  We have several players who only pick up a golf club once a year.  All are welcome.

More importantly is the fun we have afterwards - cocktails at PCC at 4:00 followed at 6:00 by pizza at Gino's in Keego Harbor.

We had a great time so I urge you to participate next year.  Our outing is always the 4th Saturday in August. So put August 22, 2020 on your calendars.

Janet, the pictures are terrific, thanks so much.  The skies were a beautiful blue yet the comaraderie made the day.  Larry, the "rules" are even better than last year - your insight into the players involved makes such a wonderful difference.  Thank you.  Also, beautiful hole out on the 7th - shot of the day.  Kathy and Ric Seymour, thank you for the loan of your yearbook to show my sister, Suzie, and many thanks to Dave for giving her your book.  It stirred several memories for her and it was delightful to see her smile when she recognized some of her classmates.  Mary Lou and Dave, I thoroughly enjoyed playing with the two of you, not just fine partners but excellent playing companions, which is far more important.  As an aside, Mary Lou made 4, yes four, birdie putts.  Chris, thanks for all you do, too and especially for adjusting the line up so Judy could make her flight.  Sign me up for the 22nd next year, please.  Judy, I'm pleased that you finally had the opportunity to have some Ray's Ice Cream.  I'm not sure who else had a hand in making this year's outing such a special event but thanks to all of you and, Lucia, I know that you're a "pivotal" person.  Additionally, thanks for your assistance in helping me track down the Class of 1962 Yearbook.  It was so special to see so many of our class and their spouses, I could carry on for quite a while.  For those who aren't golfers - the after golf socializing on the patio and the get together at Gino's afterwards were more enjoyable than the golf and I'd strongly encourage you to join us next year, and, every year.  I'll make you an offer, If you haven't been with us for a few years - I'll buy you your first drink when you show up in 2020.

Well said Mike!

We enjoyed sharing dinner, conversation, stories with you at Gino’s

and our after dinner gathering for a “parting glass”.

Be well dear friends until the 50+7!

Kathy, My apologies, too.  I hope your birthday was a keeper witheven better ones in your future.  Many thanks, again for the loan of your yearbook - it brought some smiles to Suzie's face, and she can use some.  If you'd like to try a wooden puzzle, I'll bring one or two for you - they are very different and challenging.  Mary Jo, we did have a nice group and a lively discussion, I thoroughly enjoyed it.  A Merry Unbirthday to all.

Happy Birthmonth, Arlene - you did say that we should celebrate the entire month, didn't you?  I hope that you are having some peace and serenity during these difficult times.  Doug made a good choice with you.  Hope to have your smiling presence at next year's August outing.

Thank you for taking time during your Labor Day holiday festivities to send birthday wishes.  It started out less than wonderful, but by the time we met up with friends for dinner, it ended on a much higher note!  I am truly blessed!

Arlene, I'm sure that many people in your life feel that they are blessed because of you.  Hopefully, we will be blessed with your company at our next reunion outing.

On another note, Hurricaine Dorian just went by - I am about 100 miles inland and we experienced some sprinkles and drizzles with winds up to 8 miles per hour.  Today, the winds are predicted to blow around 15 mph.  I'm not minimizing the multiple critical situations where Dorian did visit but, here, in the grocery stores the staples for survival are scarce - bread, batteries, bottled water and beer.  When snow is predicted (We average 4 inches per year.), these major items are sold out.  Two to three days later the snow has melted and the temps are getting close to 50 degrees.

Merry Unbirthday, to all!!

Arlene Vachon (Forrester)

Thank you, Mike for the kind words.  Believe me, I would LOVE to be able to join the festivities next year.  Time will tell.

I had to chuckle at the 4 "b's" that make up survival staples (especially beer)!  Glad you were spared the wrath of Dorian.

We haven't heard from Tom Scott in a long while.  Hopefully all is well with him.  Also, keep Mary Ann Shirk Hribar in your prayers.  Her husband, Bob, has been admitted to a nursing home due to Parkinson's related dementia and various physical issues.
