Dan, I hope your birthday was as good as you are. I'd have been on time but, like scotty on Star Trek, I just "couldn't get no power". I was hoping you'd receive "the sweater" for your birthday, but I fear that one of your fans has it and won't give it up. Either that or the Smithsonian or a History Museum has it. Meanwhile, have a Merry Unbirthday. Everyone else, too.
My power was out for over 4 days, we had some wind and quite a bit of rain, but nothing life threatening. Florence went South of us - the prognosticator were expecting North.
Scotty, I'd like to what outfit you'd be sporting coming out of a gypsy's closet. Bells, beads, sashes, boots, and I think you'd have to grow a mustache, too. Send pictures.
Lucia, Kath Poeppe, John Stack and I were all in Southfield, just south of 12 Mile rd. and west of Greenfield. You were soooo far away at that age - you probably weren't allowed to go out to "the sticks". There was a wagon in one of the fields, well away from our houses and we weren't allowed to go near it. Whether it was a gypsy wagon I couldn't say, but Kathy seems to have a better lore of knowledge on it than I. We never saw any horses, but it was a horse wagon as I recall.
